Very well played: 👍perfect non-legato touch, ideal for this repertoire on a modern piano; 👍observed the repeats; 👍no ritardando before the switch from andante to allegro; 👍two tone dynamics as would be found on an 18th century harpsichord; 👍good finger peddling rather than too much foot pedal. Thanks for posting - my current sonata to learn!
I have been loving this tune with the piano by Horowitz. Sure, Horowitz is a little bit more nimble. But I have to say that you've brought fresh enchantment in this tune. So nice Scarlatti !
ah, see i had no idea it was grade 8. it was one of those i took one look at and thought 'yep, scarlatti. like him. looks easy.' got home with the book and shat the bed.
I just came from listening to Horowitz play this piece. This girl, Akiko Nakai, is much better. Horowitz is known for being manipulative, and he lost the essence of Italian beauty. Here, the girl captures the joy and simplicity of Scarlatti.
God this my grade 8 piece... u play so well

I don't think Scarlati was interested in Japanese robotic "simplicity"...
this comment is so wrong on so many levels... sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about
